A world-premiere recording of original works by the “fierce and lyrical” (The Strad magazine) New York–based violist and composer Jessica Meyer, whose compositional career began only five years ago but has already scaled notable heights. The album showcases six highly individual compositions, culminating in the Ring Out, Wild Bells, written for the Grammy-winning vocal ensemble Roomful of Teeth.The preceding five works offer performances by guest artists Miranda Cuckson on violin; cellists Caleb van der Swaagh and Andrew Yee; countertenor Nicholas Tamagna; and pianist Adam Marks.
