Louis Levitt - CEO & Head Ninja

Louis Levitt has a background rooted in classical music and an uncanny talent for launching ground-breaking creative ventures.  

As a member of Sybarite5, Louis Levitt was the first double bassist to win the Concert Artist Guild Competition. Since then, he has performed with Sybarite5 in hundreds of concerts across the nation to critical acclaim. Recent highlights include Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Library of Congress, Wolf Trap, Grand Teton Music Festival, and the Aspen Music Festival. Internationally, he has appeared at the New Docta International Music Festival in Argentina, Tuckamore Chamber Music Festival in Newfoundland Canada, and the Osaka Festa, in Japan.

His self-produced debut EP with Sybarite5 cracked the top ten on the Billboard charts, and its follow-up LP, Everything In Its Right Place, was released at Carnegie Hall on CAG Records. In 2018, he launched Bright Shiny Things to release Sybarite5’s album Outliers, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Classical Charts. Since then he’s helped BST produce over 50 critically acclaimed albums and five Grammy-nominations.

As a lecturer, Levitt has spoken about the art of engagement in context of 21-century music at the Curtis Institute, Juilliard School, New England Conservatory, Mannes School, the annual Chamber Music America conference, and the national APAP arts conference in New York City. He’s mentored upcoming artists for Concert Artists Guild and has been published by New Music USA, and the 21CM Institute for Music Entrepreneurship. He currently also on double bass faculty Rutgers University.

As a producer he’s built critically acclaimed projects like the DIDO Project, Forward Festival, and Sybarite5 to fruition from start to finish.  

Now he wants to use his expertise to help his friends do the same.
